Provo : The Higher place of learning is not conducive to my learning unless stain removal counts.

So, I planned on this week for some time to have and to hold, to keep sacred and special, so that I could catch up on my homework. I had the best of plans, to lock myself up in the apartment and shut out the whole world out while I became a scholastic genius, or at least worthy of being called a pupil. I am sad to say that such a place so far only exists in my mind.
I had a few distractions this week- let me tell you about a few of them.

My Biggie: computer. I bought my computer used from an individual on campus and have been rather happy with my purchase until just a few days ago, when I downloaded the updates for Mac Office 08. Apparently i was not given the correct product identification password that was needed to validate my software. I called of Microsoft and was instructed that I needed to have a specific product key, and due to my lack of the key- I was locked out of the suite. Completely. I have downloaded some freeware that is supposed to be comparable to my previous programs but I am experiencing the challenges of interfacing my previous documents.

Gotta love technology.

Some people make fun of "nerds" that wear pocket protectors, and until today I did. When I studied at Weber State I wore my colors proudly- Purple. I Joked that I bled purple, today my pants- bled purple.
It was after our holiday feast was over, that I was notified that I had strange marks on my pants. I looked down and sure enough I had a pen that inked on me. I was not happy. I went into the bathroom to see if I could get the stain out- I only succeeded in spreading it. When I was in the middle of attempting to rinse the ink out my Cousin Bruce told me that he wanted to leave. I was caught with my pant off, and they were wet to-boot. So I threw my trousers in the dryer for a short cycle that did not dry them off, and headed back home.

You would think that after bringing two pairs of shoes and three jackets I would have brought another pair of pants.

My greatest redemption lies in the fact that I have Friday and Saturday to do the planned work.

Heaven help me help myself. :)
